Lynne Libby is a local Key Biscayne artist who lives by the ocean. She will be exhibiting in the 47th Annual Rotary Key Biscayne Art Festival this weekend. This is an artist whose work you definitely want to see!
Lynne has a passion for sea and sky which is reflected in her work. She grew up on the Jersey Shore in Sea Girt, NJ, and now lives on the ocean on Key Biscayne, Florida. She works exclusively in soft pastels. Lynne, an award winning artist for more than 30 years, is self taught. She visits the great museums of London, New York, and Washington D.C. and has been influenced by the masters of the seascape Childe Hassam, Winslow Homer, Thomas Tryon, and Gustov Courbet, and exciting colorists Tiffany, Odilon Redon and Mark Rothko. She is often compared to illustrationists N.C. Wyeth and Maxfield Parish.
