Geoff Coe: Photography

The first artist we would like to introduce to you is Geoff Coe. Geoff moved to SW Florida in 2004 where he took up kayaking and quickly found that it was an excellent way to observe birds in their natural habitats. He began taking his digital SLR and telephoto zoom lens with him on kayak trips & started sharing his photos on websites, where he found an encouraging audience. His photography is brilliant! You can view more of his work HERE.

John Najjar: Dips

Next, we have John Najjar. John hand-makes scrumptious garlic spreads, dips and more. If you are savvy in the kitchen, this item is perfect to add to your pantry! You can view more of his delicious products HERE.

Delores & Walker Coffman

The final artists we are going to introduce to you today are Delores & Walker Coffman. Delores & Walker hand-make beautiful wire angel sculptures. The fine details of their masterpieces are so exquisite. These would make a terrific gift for anyone! You can view more of their delicate sculptures HERE.

No two pieces are alike because not only are they all designed differently, but each flower is cast from its own seed pod. Her work is beautiful! You can check-out more on her website HERE.

Dawn DeSanto: Clothing

Next, we have Dawn DeSanto. Dawn and Kenna’s (her partner) company, Hand Jive, is now in it’s 13th year of producing original design. Mindy Sand: Mixed Media

The final artist we are going to share with you today is Mindy Sand. Mindy’s glassware is colorful and fun (as you can see in the picture above). Delray Beach Artist: Pat Kaufman

Standard

Pat Kaufman is one of the artists we love to feature during any of our Downtown Delray Beach Art and Craft Festivals. She is a local artist in Delray Beach, Florida who paints the most beautiful, vibrant & bright watercolor pictures.

A self-taught artist, Pat is originally from Buffalo, NY. She began creating at an early age. Her flowers and scenes painted on old treasures for home décor were her first venture in selling years ago at art and craft shows. She quickly expanded her portfolio to include watercolors and began exhibiting her work at fine art shows throughout Florida and the East Coast. What began as a part-time hobby became a full-time passion. Pat sold her lucrative financial consulting business and embarked on a career as a professional artist.

Pat has established herself as one of the preeminent watercolor artists in South Florida. She displays and sells her work through galleries, shops and juried fine art shows from Miami to Connecticut. Art lovers worldwide request her work including collectors from Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and England. Her accomplishments have led to articles in the Palm Beach Post, Miami Herald, Sun-Sentinel and Heart of Delray Magazine.

Hilton Head’s Featured Artist: Patty Gosdin

Standard

Howard Alan Events is honored to have Patty Gosdin in the 3rd Annual Hilton Head Island Art Festival this weekend (May 28th & 29th). Patty is a local Hilton Head artist, which is another reason why we are thrilled to have her as an exhibitor.

Patty Gosdin was born in 1961 in Bavaria, a southern area of Germany known for its hospitality. She has visited more than fourteen countries and in 1987 arrived in Hilton Head Island, SC for the first time.

After five years trekking across the U.S., spending time in places like Palm Springs, Lake Tahoe, Arizona and Colorado Springs, she returned to Germany, where in 1992 her compassion and desire to help people led her’ to pursue a career in nursing. However, the lure of the sites she had seen in the States was too great, and in 1996 she again traveled to the U.S. where she completed the International Nursing certification and became a Registered Nurse.

Her experience abroad and love of nature, people, animals, beautiful scenery and a new found interest in photography, helped her develop the ability to see the beauty and energy surrounding her subjects, capturing it all through the eye of her camera and lens.

Her originality, creativity, and general love for photography is obvious when viewing her work. Patty settled, and made her home, on Hilton Head Island, where she lives with her husband, Nick, and her son, Nathaniel, and daughter, Naomi.
