American Craft Endeavors is proud to have George Hewitt exhibit his work in the 14th Annual Downtown Stuart Craft Fair this weekend (May 14th & 15th, 2011).
George grew up in South Florida, where he spent 25 years in the tree care industry. He began carving about 8 years ago, and has taken his skill to the next level by carving native and rare woods into beautiful, realistic fish and wildlife pieces. His attention to detail and fine finishing make a stunning accent to any home.
George has done on-site carvings in various locations, such as private schools, home and public areas. His pieces are in homes and public areas. His pieces are in homes and commercial businesses across Florida. While George specializes in Florida fish species, he also carves other marine life such as dolphins, manatees, seahorses, stingrays, turtles, etc. Other animals and birds are also part of his work. In addition to wildlife, George carves custom wood benches, tiki bars, headboards, mantles and chairs.
You can view more of George’s beautiful wood carvings HERE. There will be over 100 other fantastic fine crafters at the show this weekend, as well!
