21st Annual Art In The Village (June 4th & 5th, 2011)

This weekend (June 4th & 5th), Howard Alan Events proudly presents the 21st Annual Art In The Village in Cleveland, Ohio.

Art in the Village returns June 4 – 5, 2011 with an explosion of color, an abundance of talent and a myriad of mediums transforming Legacy Village into a gallery style outdoor art extravaganza featuring the finest work of more than 200 of the nation’s leading artists including the finest local artists from the greater Cleveland area. Bold and vibrant paintings, contemporary and whimsical art, life-size sculptures, photography and jewelry are among the many works of art that will be on display and for sale during the 21st anniversary of this popular summer show.  All artists will be on site for the duration of the festival, available to discuss their art and inspiration.

Admission is free and open to the public. Times are Saturday 10am-8pm & Sunday 10am-6pm. The navigational address is: 25001 Cedar Rd., Cleveland, OH 44124.

Here are a few of the artists you will be able to meet this weekend:

Amy Beeler: Jewelry

The first artist we would like to introduce to you is Amy Beeler. This particular line of Amy’s jewelry is made from seed pods that look like flowers. No two pieces are alike because not only are they all designed differently, but each flower is cast from its own seed pod. Her work is beautiful! You can check-out more on her website HERE.

Dawn DeSanto: Clothing

Next, we have Dawn DeSanto. Dawn and Kenna’s (her partner) company, Hand Jive, is now in it’s 13th year of producing original design. They travel the country, (in their infamous Freightliner Sprinter) offering, “groovy clothes for cool chicks” to thousands of faithful patrons. You can view more of their groovy clothes HERE.

Mindy Sand: Mixed Media

The final artist we are going to share with you today is Mindy Sand. Mindy’s glassware is colorful and fun (as you can see in the picture above). Each piece is hand painted using glazes that are fired at a low temperature. Her style is contemporary, using lines, patterns, and colors. Her work is very unique, and you can view more of it HERE.

You will be able to meet these artists above along with 100 other talented artists from all over the United States.
