Selling Your Work At An Art Fair

In the past, we have written blogs about your booth displays and how important they are in attracting customers. Today, we want to talk to you about selling your work (after you attract the patrons in your booth).

Once you have attracted the customer into your booth, what do you do next? You need to engage with them! Greet them as the walk into your booth. If you see that a patron is looking at a particular piece of work for quite sometime, ask them if they need assistance. Perhaps tell them a little history about the piece!

Explaining your inspirations and techniques about your artwork to the patron will make the experience even more special. This approach will lead to a sale unlike the approach of just sitting in the back of your booth.

Selling is the art of providing the information someone needs to make an informed purchase decision. So, don’t be afraid to sell your work to the customers who are in your booth!
