As you may know, the way you present you art in your booth display is very important. Not only does it boost your chances of getting into a show, but when you are at an art festival, you want to present yourself as a reliable and professional artist.
Here are a few tips that you may want to consider:
Tip #1 – Look Professional. We know it can be difficult to look professional when you have spent all day in the heat and/or setting up your booth display. However, you want to give the customer the impression that you are a professional in your area of expertise.
Tip #2 – Be Tidy. When you present your work in your booth, make sure it has an inviting appeal. You don’t want your work to be laying around on the ground or be cluttered. Having an inviting booth display is what will draw the customer in! Ideally, you want your booth to look like a “mini art gallery”.
Tip #3 – Decor. Do not have any metal exposed on your panels (ex. If you have grid walls… make sure they are covered!). No sale signs, or hand written signs are allowed. Your company name or artist name should look attractive – not too bold or obstructive. Nice touches you can add are: carpet for the floor, nice fabric (as an accent) and a plant or two!
Overall, you want yourself along with your display to look professional and inviting. Make your booth display different, classy and make it match your personality as an artist. The customers are not just buying your work, they’re buying a piece of you.
