The 14th Annual Shadyside Art Festival on Walnut Street, slated for August 27 – 28, 2011, features the finest work of the nation’s leading artists including top talent from throughout the state of Pennsylvania.

Admission is free and open to the public. Times are Saturday 10am-9pm & Sunday 10am-5pm. The navigational address is: 739 Bellefonte St., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.

Here are a few of the artists you will see at this weekend’s art festival:

Linda Billet: Glass

The first artist we would like to introduce to you is Linda Billet. Linda is a glass artisan working out of her Central PA studio. She is a native Pennsylvanian and former postal employee. After years of juggling art, kids’ activities, and a job, she decided to pursue her passion in art full time. Most of Billet’s work is fused glass but she also loves to mosaic glass. Her glass art is installed on restaurants and in homes as distant as Hawaii. You can view more of her amazing work HERE.

Patrick Hyland: Photography

Next, we have Patrick Hyland. Patrick has a unique talent for capturing the beauty around him. His photography is terrific! Take look at this photograph above… Do you see the small tree frog? How clever! You can view more of his stunning work HERE.

Charles Strain: Sculpture

The final artist we are going to introduce to you today is Charles Strain. Charles draws his imagery from the world of nature and life experience. The fusion of man and nature is a predominate theme in Strain’s sculpture. The aesthetic lines of the human figure and the celebration of human emotion are vehicles he uses as subject matter in his composition. Happiness, sadness, a moment in time, a familiar experience, a celebration, is some of the experiences that can be found when viewing his sculpture. You can view more of his one-of-a-kind artwork HERE.

You will be able to meet the artists above along with 150 other talented artists from across the United States. This is an art festival not to be missed!
