Background Information About 2012 Las Olas Art Fair Poster


Kevin Kichar a Fort Lauderdale Public Artist collaborated with Ceramic Artist Diane Hutchinson to create a new entrance to the downtown River Walk.  Four twelve foot by nine foot handmade tile mosaics anchor the Marshall Bridge connecting SW 4th Avenue and SW 7th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale’s “Avenue of Arts”.

Two East facing mosaics “Sailboat Bend” and “New River Story” can be viewed at Cooley’s Landing. Walk under the bridge to view the east facing “Avenue of Arts” and “Tarpon River”.

The art work for one of the mosaics “Avenue of Arts” has been selected as the 2012 Las Olas Art Festival Poster. Depicting the arts district of Las Olas a stage is set for comedy or tragedy while Jazz plays in the park.

Kevin Kichar recently received the Duanne Hanson Public Art Allied Artist reward and completed the first Broward County Artist as Entrepreneur Institute.

Diane Hutchinson has created ceramic art in Riviera Beach for over twenty five years.
