Visit Passport Auto at the Alexandria King Street Art Festival

While you are strolling the 10th Anniversary Alexandria King Street Art Festival this weekend (September 8th & 9th, 2012) be sure to stop by King & Royal and visit Passport Auto. Passport Auto will be presenting Nissan, BMW, Infiniti, Mini, and Toyota on site. This selection of model lineups is the perfect opportunity for visitors to experience the new and exceptional features of each make.

The Alexandria King Street Art Festival is ranked one of the top Art Fairs in the country. More than $15 million in art will be on display and visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work and hear first-hand what inspires them. With hundreds of submissions, this show features artists known for quality and originality. All artwork is juried, which provides a higher level of quality, diversity and creativity of art on display, exemplifying the gifted artists in regions from all over the country.

Located on King Street in Alexandria, Virginia, stretching all the way down to the Potomac River. Show hours are Saturday 10am-7pm and Sunday 10am-5pm. Passport Auto is the official automotive sponsor of the 10th Anniversary Alexandria King Street Art Festival.

Alexandria King Street Festival of the Arts: Saturday Kick-Off!

On Saturday, September 10th, there is going to be a Kick-Off to the start of the 9th Annual Alexandria King Street Festival of the Arts.

When: 10:00 AM Saturday, September 10, 2011

Where: Corner of King Street and North Fairfax Street, near Market Square ; Address: 301 King Street, Alexandria, VA 23314

This kick-off will focus on the value of the Alexandria arts community and recognize and thank individual art leaders. Then, it will end with Howard Alan announcing the opening of the 9th Annual Alexandria King Street Festival of the Arts.

Patriotic Theme for Alexandria Festival of the Arts

Attention Alexandria Artists!

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, which falls during the 9th Annual Alexandria Festival of the Arts. We plan to pay tribute during the festival and would like to know if you have work inspired by or that relates to the tragedy or even has a patriotic theme.

If you have artwork that fits these criteria please contact Elisabeth Hayes at elisabeth@artfestival.com as soon as possible. The publicity we generate may lead to a feature story profiling the festival as well as your work.

Alexandria Application Due!

Attention Artists! We wanted to give you a final reminder that our 9th Annual Alexandria Festival of the Arts applications are due on May 2, 2011! Remember, this show is handled differently than our other shows (in regards to the jurying process).

Most of our shows have an “on-going jury”, which means you can apply until the show is full. Even when the show is full, we still accept for the wait list. For the Alexandria Festival of the Arts, once the deadline is past, we will not be accepting any more applications. The jurying for this show is done only once!
