Peter creates his mandalas using pen and ink on acid-free paper, over a lightly-penciled grid to ensure a degree of symmetry. This allows him to be true to what he perceives as the execution of all universal structures—perfect in their abstract forms, yet each with its own unique fluctuation and variety. You can view more of his one-of-a-kind and mystical work HERE.

Louise Plunkett: Hair Accessories

Next, we would like to introduce to you Louise Plunkett. Louise hand-makes beautiful and brightly colored bows and headbands. This is perfect for someone who has a little girl, or who is a girlie-girlie, themselves. You can view more on her website HERE.

Robert Tabor: Shoe Sculptures

The last fine crafter we would like to introduce to you is Robert Tabor. Robert’s shoe concepts have reached an endless variety of themes and are also now being developed as functional table top/party serving and gift items. He has produced over 150 pieces to date with a vast array of commissions from: Stewart Weitzman, The Rtiz Carlton, Breast Cancer Organizations. You can view more of his extraordinary work HERE.

Artist of the Week

Standard

We would like to extend our congratulations to Lou DiVita for being named “Artist of the Week” on Examiner.com Tampa Bay. Additionally, he will be one of the artists exhibiting in the 23rd Annual Downtown Sarasota Festival of the Arts this weekend (February 19th & 20th).

Here is some information regarding this artist & his work:

Many of his photographs have taken years to capture, especially where wildlife is concerned. Each of his photographs utilizes natural light only. The composition, consisting of foreground, background, color and geometry, is carefully chosen so as to compliment and enhance the portrait.

Each photographic outing is an adventure, Lou watches and waits patiently, trying to capture that special moment, a moment that very few people will ever see, a unique photograph that creates a portrait depicting human-like behavior and their natural beauty.
