Interested In Participating As A Musician?

Standard

Even though all of our shows are juried art festivals, we do have musicians who have a space and play their music to thousands of festival-goers who attend our events.

If you are interested in becoming a musician at our shows, please mail in the following items to become approved:

• Letter of Interest
• Press Kit or copy of your CD
• Booth picture

Please mail to:
Howard Alan Events/American Craft Endeavors
Attn: Music
400 Cypress Drive, Suite 1
Tequesta, FL 33469

Please note that we do not accept groups or bands. We only accept individuals or soloists with non-amplified music who would play to the patrons and sell their CD’s. Space is extremely limited and generally fills up at the start of the season, so please keep this in mind when applying.

If the committee chooses you for our festivals we will contact you to discuss openings and fees at that time.

Musician: Sergei Novikov

Should You Reuse Photos For Juried Art Festivals?

Standard

What do YOU think? Should you reuse photos for juried Art Festivals?

This is what we think about this topic:

1. You want to give the jury the best impression as possible with your artwork and your booth display. If you have created new work and have a better display, show that in your pictures!

2. To save time, we believe you should update your pictures once a year. That way, the jurying committee has a fresh look at your work and your display, but at the same time, you are not constantly updating your photos.

3. When you don’t update your photos, this will give the jury a blurred idea of the current artwork you are producing. Perhaps you have improved your artwork and booth display since the last time you took photos. This may be detrimental to your overall juried score!

We would love to hear any opinions you have on this topic!
