One of the greatest Irish festivals, St. Patrick’s Day, commemorates the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. A festive day for the Irish people, St. Patrick’s Day is a festive public holiday of the Republic of Ireland and also celebrated with much enthusiasm in places such as Canada, Great Britain, Australia, the United States and New Zealand. In a previous blog post, we gave you information regarding the 4th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Holiday Time Art & Craft Fair THIS Sunday & Monday (December 26th & 27th). Now, we want to share with you some of the crafters who will be exhibiting in the show.

Beverly & Ken Wilson: Polymer Resin Birds

At first, Beverly & Ken Wilson‘s creations were gifts for family and friends, but as more people began seeking their work, requests started pouring in. Egrets and pelicans soon dotted local yards, patios and pool areas. A small business was born! You can view more of their unique hand-crafted product HERE.

Kevin Ritter: Mixed Media

Kevin Ritter firmly believes in motivational words and sayings. He has incorporated his belief into his artwork. Kevin uses Prisma color pencils to create his bright and whimsical art work. You can view his website HERE.

Fred Kugel: Dog Treats

Fred Kugel‘s Good Dog Bakery is located in Port St. Lucie, Florida. All the biscuits and treats that he bakes are completely 100% all natural! You can order your precious pup some treats right off their website! Click HERE to order some treats!

As you can see, the Craft Fair portion of this fabulous Art & Craft Fair has a wide array of crafters. There will be something there for everyone!

Unique Artist Story: Julio Garcia

Standard

We are very excited that Julio Garcia will be joining us for the 4th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Holiday Time Art & Craft Festival in Delray Beach, Florida on December 26th & 27th. Like we mentioned before, we will be posting unique artist stories about artists who will be exhibiting in this show!

Julio Garcia was raised on a 5,000 acre farm in Mexico. The Indians and Russians rented the land from his family to mine gold. It was among these widely different groups of people where Julio grew up with the desire to paint.

At first, painting for Julio was done for fun. Then, it became an obsession. He has paintings that date back to when he was only five years old!

Here are some incredible pictures of his artwork:

Unique Artist Stories

Standard

Leading up to the 4th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Holiday Time Art & Craft Festival, we are going to share with you unique stories of some artists who will be exhibiting in the show.

The first artist we would like to share with you is… Ann Dalton!

Ann Dalton

Ann Dalton paints on location in the Everglades. Because the Everglades is so flat, she sits on the roof of her car. This gives her a better view to paint. While painting on the roof of her car, she can concentrate on her artwork, instead of worrying about alligators, pythons, panthers and other scary wild animals.

Here is a result of her expedition in the Everglades:

Alligator Oil Painting

Stay tuned for more artist stories as we approach the 4th Annual Downtown Delray Beach Holiday Time Art & Craft Festival on December 26 & 27, 2010!
