One Time Waived Late Fee For Summer Shows!

Attention Artists!

This year, we are all struggling to overcome the poor economy and the ever-increasing price of gas. We understand that every little penny counts, and would like to extend a $50 late fee waive for one summer show of your choice. We ask that payment be made no later than two weeks prior to the event.

The purpose of the late fee has always been to protect those who pay in full at the time of application and limit the amount of last minute participant add-ons. HAE prides itself on its continued level of excellence provided and its focus on our artist’s finances through our flexible payment options. This summer, we will continue to accept a $50 deposit, your remaining balance for one summer show 15 days prior instead of 30, as well waive the late fee. (Remember this is for one time only).

Please let us know, on your application, check, credit card authorization, or payment call which summer show you would like to use this late fee waive on so that it can be noted in our system.

The Place To Be: Lake Tahoe Festival of the Arts

As you may know, Howard Alan Events has expanded their shows to the Western side of the United States. This summer, the place to be is Lake Tahoe, California. The reason is that the Lake Tahoe Festival of the Arts will take place in Lake Tahoe on August 20th & 21st, 2011.

The show will have a view of the heavenly mountains and Lake Tahoe. It will also be walking distance to all of Lake Tahoe’s hotel and casinos.

The show will be held on Ski Run Blvd directly at Highway 50. This festival will be co hosted by the City of South Lake Tahoe and will be co promoted by the Casino hotels and the City of South Lake Tahoe Visitor Convention Bureau. The local casino hotels will also be offering special rates for participating artists!

We have some breathtaking photos of the area we would love to share with you:

This Weekend: What To Expect In Beaver Creek

Scenic Beaver Creek

Doesn’t this picture make you want to visit Beaver Creek? This photo was taken by Howard and Darrin last year when they attended the Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival in 2009. The view is breathtaking! What a perfect place to spend the weekend.

Because I do not have photos to share with you from the 23rd Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival (but I will share them next week!), I am going to tell you what to expect! Last year was a great show, and we do have returning artists who will be attending the show once again.

Crowd Shot: Beaver Creek 2009

Here is a great photograph of the crowd that was in Beaver Creek last August. It looks like the Vail Valley had tons of people last summer! This summer should be just as excellent. Here is our first returning artist I would like to share with you:

Rob Stenberg

Rob Stenberg is a very talented artist, who will be returning to Beaver Creek again this year. His uses acrylic paints for his “one-and-only”, unique pieces. His work is always stunning. You can see more of Rob Stenberg’s work if you check out his website: HERE . Next, we have another gifted artist:

Tim Zandee

Tim Zandee is a one-of-a-kind. Tim was present at our Beaver Creek Art Festival in 2009, and he will be returning this weekend for our 2010 Beaver Creek Art Festival. Tim specializes in photography of natural scenes. The way he captures a picture is magical. His work is very inspiring. Unfortunately, I do not have a website for Tim, but if I did, I would share it with you!

I hope you are excited about the 23rd Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival this weekend. If you would like to find out more information, you can click HERE.

Boulder Bound!

Boulder Crowd Shot (2009)

Guess where we are headed to this weekend? We will be in Boulder, Colorado for the 3rd Annual Boulder Festival of the Arts on 29th Street! Where are you gong to be? Hopefully, you will be joining us! The art festival is located on 29th Street, a trendy and chic area, which is a perfect place for affluent shoppers. Additionally, the nation’s best artists and crafters will be present. To me, this sounds like a great place to spend the weekend. Below, I have pictures of several artists who attended our Boulder show last year:

Dana & Greg Miller

Dana Miller is a talented artist who was present at the festival last year. She specializes in freelance work, decorative paintings, 3-D work and mural painting. Here is another artist who we were lucky to have join us:

Matt Suess

This artist is Matt Suess. He is a full-time art landscaper photographer. His photography is absolutely breathtaking. You can see that for yourself in the picture above.

Clearly, very talented artists are present at this art show. We are looking forward to what this weekend will bring. Next week, I will share all the scoop with you.

See you in Bouder, Colorado this weekend! Safe travels!

Picturesque Aspen

Downtown Aspen: July 2010

We heard many interesting things about Aspen this weekend, and of course, they are all great things. First, the weather was perfect. We all know that beautiful weather does help make a show that much better. Also, we heard some other interesting stories. We heard that one artist said they were going to be able to pay for their kids’ college with the amount they made over the weekend. Isn’t that amazing?

Relaxing in Aspen

Visitors enjoying the Downtown Aspen Art Festival.

Secondly, we heard there was a wide variety of different people at the art show. The GOP from Mississippi was in town. Additionally, many Florida residents, who have second homes in Aspen, were at the show. We had people from all over! You can see (in the picture above this paragraph) all the people relaxing and enjoying their day at the art festival.

These pictures make me jealous of all the vendors and visitors that were in Aspen this past weekend. It is absolutely beautiful there!

Anyways, I want to remind you about our art festival this weekend (July 24-25)! It is our 3rd Annual Boulder Festival of the Arts on 29th Street. See you there!
